The details of your wedding day are where personality, place, and intention truly come to life. These elements—both practical and decorative—help tell your story and create meaningful moments throughout the weekend.

This section is designed to help you thoughtfully consider which details feel most aligned for your celebration. You do not need to include every item listed. Instead, we’ll review all options together and determine what makes the most sense for your vision, priorities, and budget.

When you’re ready, you’ll share your selections in the Details section of your Client Worksheet so we can finalize responsibilities, sourcing, and next steps.

WELCOME BAGS

Welcome bags are a thoughtful way to greet guests—most commonly those traveling from out of town—though some couples choose to extend them to their wedding party or all guests.

When considering welcome bags, we typically start by discussing:

Budget
Your overall budget or budget per bag.

Who Will Receive One
Whether welcome bags will be provided per person, per couple, per room, or per household.

Bag Contents
With so many options available, narrowing selections can feel overwhelming. We often recommend starting with a lovely beverage and a few treats—typically one savory and one sweet—then building from there as desired.

Packaging
Once items are selected, we’ll think through packaging options such as custom totes, boxes, or baskets. In some cases, the packaging itself determines the size of the gift, and we’re happy to recommend items that fit beautifully inside.

Delivery & Distribution
Lastly, we’ll consider how and where welcome bags will be delivered. We recommend collecting accommodation details as part of your invitation suite so we can plan accordingly. While we’re happy to manage delivery to individual homes and hotels, some couples prefer to have welcome bags available at their rehearsal dinner or welcome party.

We’ll help you determine what feels most appropriate and manageable for your wedding weekend.

WEDDING WEEKEND PAPER

Wedding weekend paper sets the tone and helps guide guests throughout the celebration—from arrival through the final farewell. These pieces can be both functional and expressive, offering opportunities for subtle storytelling and thoughtful design.

Common items include:

  • Welcome bag notes (often including a weekend agenda or custom map)
  • Ceremony programs (passed or placed at seats)
  • Escort cards (guiding guests to their table)
  • Place cards (guiding guests to their seat)
  • Menus (at place settings or food stations)
  • Ceremony reserved signs
  • Reception reserved signs
  • Bar signs (describing signature drinks)

In addition to traditional paper goods, some couples choose to extend their design into printed tabletop and bar details:

  • Custom napkins
  • Cups or frosted cups
  • Coasters
  • Stir sticks
  • Matchboxes or matchbooks
  • Late-night snack packaging

These items are entirely optional and can be mixed, matched, or kept minimal depending on your overall vision.
Keepsake details are often deeply personal. These items may be family heirlooms, newly purchased pieces, or thoughtfully chosen details that reflect something meaningful to you as a couple or connected to the place where you’re getting married.

Guest Book
There are many beautiful ways to approach a guest book. One of our favorite ideas is selecting something that reflects your wedding location, though it can just as easily be centered around a shared interest, story, or meaningful theme.

For weddings in Seaside, WaterColor, and along 30A, some particularly lovely options include:

  • Vie Home
  • Saints of Old Florida
  • Local bookstores such as Hidden Lantern (Rosemary Beach) and Sun Dog Books (Seaside)

You’re also welcome to choose a non-traditional guest book or alternative that feels more personal to your celebration.

Cake Knife & Server
The cake knife and server are used during the cake-cutting and will be visible in photos, so it’s worth choosing a set that feels intentional. Some couples use a family heirloom, while others purchase something new specifically for the wedding.

Toasting Flutes
Toasting flutes are used by the couple during the cake-cutting moment to toast one another. As with other keepsake items, these can be heirlooms, newly purchased, or thoughtfully selected just for the day.

For all keepsake items, we’ll confirm whether you plan to provide them, purchase them, or have us manage them for you. This will be noted in your Client Worksheet so responsibilities and logistics are clear well in advance.

KEEPSAKES

These elements add energy and personality to key moments throughout the day—from ceremony exit to dance floor to final farewell.

Options may include:

  • Ceremony exit items (petals, ribbon wands, bubbles, etc.)
  • Dance floor additions (foam wands, glow items, trucker/cowboy hats, flower crowns, fans, tambourines, etc.)
  • Reception exit items (sparklers, cold sparklers, ribbon wands, bubbles)

We’ll guide you on what works best for your venue, timeline, and logistics.

PARTY & EXIT DETAILS

frequently asked questions

Yes, this is no problem as long as all details are finalized no later than 60 days prior to the wedding day. This allows adequate time for ordering, production, and preparation.

01

Can Shelby manage additional details after our consultation?

Design and artwork are developed in collaboration with your stationer and floral designer to ensure everything feels cohesive with your overall wedding style. If you already have artwork or files, you’re welcome to share those as well.
Generally, these items are not included in your original budget estimate unless they were discussed during your Kick-Off call. They are typically reflected as a separate budget line item labeled “Details.”

02

Are these details included in my original budget estimate?

For items you are providing, you may either ship them to arrive no earlier than 30 days prior and no later than 14 days prior to the wedding day or hand them directly to Shelby at the rehearsal.
For any details SPE is managing, we will oversee the full process—from placing orders and coordinating shipping to receiving, preparation, and setup on the wedding day. For certain items, such as dance floor elements (glow items, Amazon purchases, etc.), you may place the order directly and have items shipped to us. We’ll review together which items you’ll order versus which we’ll manage to ensure everything is accounted for and ready.

05

Who places the orders for the items we decide on?

What about the details I’m providing on my own?
