Hair and makeup set the pace for your wedding morning. When thoughtfully planned, the day begins calmly, runs efficiently, and ensures everyone is ready on time—without rushing or waiting.

The information below is designed to help you identify everyone who may want to participate in hair and/or makeup services. This often includes not only the wedding party, but also mothers, grandmothers, and other special family members.

As you review this section, begin confirming who will receive services and which services they’d like, even if they plan to cover the cost themselves. Having a complete list up front allows us to create an efficient, well-paced schedule.

When you’re ready, click the link at the bottom of the page to complete your Hair & Makeup Worksheet. Once submitted, we’ll take care of creating the timeline and coordinating services for you and your wedding party.

Once your hair and makeup artists are selected, the next step is gathering the names of everyone who would like hair services, makeup services, or both.

To avoid last-minute additions, we recommend reaching out to anyone who may want to be included, even if you’re unsure. It’s very common for someone to decide later that they do want services—and those late changes can impact timing and staffing.

Be sure to check with:

  • Mothers of the bride and groom
  • Grandmothers of the bride and groom
  • Bridesmaids
  • Any additional family members or VIPs you’d like included

Providing a complete list early allows us to secure the appropriate number of artists and build a smooth, efficient schedule.

WHO TO ASK

Once we know who is receiving services and which services they’ll have, we work directly with your hair and makeup team to thoughtfully build your Hair & Makeup Timeline.

Start times are determined by a few key factors:

  • The total number of services
  • The number of artists
  • When everyone needs to be ready for photos and dressing

If you have a preference for a “no earlier than” start time, please let us know as early as possible. In some cases, additional artists may be required to ensure the morning stays relaxed and on schedule.

Once we’ve created our initial draft, we’ll share it with you for review and any refinements before it’s sent to your hair and makeup team and finalized.

On the wedding day itself, we trust the collaboration between you and your artists. If small adjustments feel right in the moment, those decisions are always left in your hands.

TIMING

frequently asked questions

We recommend checking with anyone who may want to participate, even if you’re unsure at first. This often includes bridesmaids, mothers, grandmothers, and other special family members. Having a complete list early allows us to plan thoughtfully and avoid last-minute changes.

01

who should be included in hair and make up services

This varies by artist and availability. If you’re traveling from out of town, we recommend scheduling your trial during the days surrounding Vendor Day (though not on Vendor Day itself, as it tends to be quite busy). Trial scheduling is handled directly between you and your hair and makeup team—any date that feels right for you and your artist is perfectly appropriate.

03

When should I schedule my hair and makeup trial?

Hair and makeup artists are contracted for the full scope of services outlined in their agreement. The client pays the vendor directly in full, and any reimbursements or payments from members of the wedding party are coordinated separately. This ensures clarity for the artists and a smooth flow on the wedding day.

What if I’m gifting only one service (hair or makeup), or not gifting services at all?
